Bank Loans For Education

Scholarships being limited in number, every deserving or needy student does not succeed in getting financial help to pursue higher studies. An encouraging development that took place since few past years is availability of Educational Loans. Most of the Nationalized Banks extend this facility to the students on almost similar conditions.

Applications for loan are considered by the banks after the student has obtained admission to a course in a recognized institution. The college/ institution has to issue a certificates affirming that the students has been admitted to the course. The following documents are generally required to be attached to the application for education loan
1. Marks sheet of the qualifying examination for school or college.

2. Copies of letters confirming scholarship, studentship, etc

3. Proof of admission to the course


4. Schedule of course expenses

5. Two passport size photos of the borrower / guarantor
6. A copy of foreign exchange permit (if applicable)

7. The Borrower's bank account statement of the last
six months

8. Proof of residence

9. Income-tax assessment orders not more than two year
old and bank statement of assets and liabilities of
the borrower

10. Salaried person has to show the latest Salary Slip with
all deductions
