offers Research in the Bio-Cultural Aspects of Indian Populations. (The Survey offers Junior and Senior Research Fellows with a strong inclination towards research to implement plan projects undertaken by the Survey)

The Projects are:
1. Study of Syncretism in India
2. Transformation of Dormitory system among Tribes in India
3. Cultural Dominion of Tourism in India: Impact on Biosphere
4. Human Origins, Genome and People of India.
5. Growth Development of boys and Girls (6-18 years) in a North
East: A Public Health Issue

Eligibility:
(1) Junior Research Fellow:
Master Degree in Anthropology or Allied Disciplines with minimum of 55% marks. Age: 28 years. Stipend: 4,500 p.m. Contingency: 10,000 p.a


(2) Senior Research Fellows:
Masters Degree in Anthropology or Allied Disciplines with minimum 55% marks, 2 years research experience with published of work of good standard. Age: 32 years. Stipend: 5,400 p.m. Contingency: 12,000 p.a

Note:
The tenure of fellowships is three years, extendable for one more year in deserving cases. Selected candidates are given orientation and training under the School of Anthropology in Survey. Deserving JRF and SRF will have the opportunity for working for their Ph.D. degree as per the Survey's guidelines
