Secondary Metabolites Research in India
For enhancement of the production of secondary metabolites, systems are being developed at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Bombay, Regional Research Laboratory (RRL), Jammu and at Botany Department, University of Jaipur. These centres may increase their activity in future.

Besides the above, tissue culture facilities are also being developed for recombinant DNA technology, embryo rescue, protoplast culture and fusion, etc.
