conducts a Common Entrance Examination (CEE) for admission to government seats in the Engineering, Medical, Pharmacy and Agricultural courses in Kerala.
Eligibility for admission: Nativity: (i) Applicant should be an Indian citizen. (ii) Keralites or Non-Keralites. Applicants of Kerala origin are categorised as Keralites. Others are categorised as 'Non-Keralites'.

(iii) A candidate is considered a Keralite, for the limited purpose of eligibility for admission if (a) the candidate, or the candidate's father I mother was born in Kerala or, (b) the candidate has been a resident of Kerala, for a period of 5 years within a period of 12 years or, (c) the candidate has undergone his/her school studies from Std. VIII to XII in educational institutions in Kerala.

Non-Keralites are classified as Non-Keralites Category I amp; Category 11. Non-Keralites category I candidates are those who have undergone the qualifying course in Kerala, and, who are sons/ daughters of the Employees of the Government of India, employees who are serving in connection with the affairs of the Government of Kerala, subject to the condition that the employees concerned have served in Kerala for a minimum period of two years or have served in connection with the affairs of the Government of Kerala for a minimum period of two years. Such candidates would be eligible for admission to the Government seats under State merit only for Engineering, Medical, Agricultural and BPharma courses, which are filled on the basis of the rank in the Entrance examination(s).They are not eligible for any reserved seats.

Non-Keralites Category II includes all those candidates from outside the state who do not fall under Non-Keralites Category I mentioned earlier. All candidates belonging to Non-Keralites Category 11 are eligible for admission to the State Merit seats in the self-financing engineering colleges in the state.
Non-Keralite candidates will not be considered for admission against reserved seats.

Academic Qualifications: Medical Course: Pass in Higher Secondary/ equivalent examination with 50% marks in Biology and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together.
B. Pharma Course: Pass in Higher Secondary /equivalent examination with 50% marks in Biology and 50% marks in Biology or Mathematics separately and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics put together. Candidates who have passed D.Pharm course with 50% marks in the final Diploma Exam. in Pharmacy are also eligible, subject to the condition that they should have passed Hr. Sec.1 Pre-degree / equivalent exam. with Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Maths and optional.

Note: Candidates who apply based on their B.Sc. degree for MBBS, BDS, and B. Pharm. courses, should obtained their B.Sc. degree with Physics/ Chemistry/Zoology/Botany / Bio-Chemistry as Main, and anyone or two of the above subjects as a subsidiaries, with 50% marks for main and subsidiaries taken together, subject to the condition that they have passed the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects, are eligible for admission to MBBS, BDS and B.Pharma courses only.
Relaxation in marks in the qualifying examination: Relaxation 5% marks in the qualifying exam. to candidates belonging to the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) and OEC category, whose annual family income is upto Rs. 2.5 lakhs. SC/ST candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination. Persons with disabilities, seeking admission against the seats reserved for them also need only a pass in the qualifying examination* (*subject to approval of the universities). Age: Candidate should have completed 17 years of age on 31st December of the year of admission. Entrance Exam: The Entrance Examination for admission to Medical Colleges consists of: (i) Paper 1- Physics amp; Chemistry and Paper II - Biology.
Entrance Exam. Centres: All district Headquarters in Kerala, New Delhi and Dubai (UAE).
The Application Forms, Brochure and the Prospectus can be had from one of the specified Post offices listed in the notification. Candidates not claiming any reservation/belonging to the non-Keralite category II can apply in the prescribed format by downloading the application form from the website cee-kerala.org of the Commissioner for Entrance Exams., Kerala.
