Armed Forces Medical Services Examining Board
The following institutions offer 3-year courses in General Nursing to those who have qualified 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognised Board/University:

Admission to the Schools of Nursing, Armed Forces Hospital for probationer Nurses for a minimum period of 4 years as Permanent Commissioned officer after successful completion of studies. In addition to free ration, furnished accommodation, uniform allowance, medical treatment and leave travel concession, they are also paid stipend during the period of training.
Eligibility: Only unmarried female candidates are eligible. Divorcees or widows or those legally separated and without encumbrances are also considered eligible. Medical fitness is required. XIIth class (10+2) or any other equivalent examination of 12 years duration with not less than 40% aggregate marks in all the subjects of statutory University/Examining Body. The candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are not eligible.
