Short Service Commissioned Offices in Technical Branches Under University Entry Scheme (UES) in the Indian Navy

Unmarried male Indian citizens for grant of Short Service Commission in Technical Branches of the Indian Navy, Under University Entry Scheme.

Eligibility: Age: Between 191/2 to 25 years.

Education Qualifications: Applicant should be studying in a AICTE approved College/Institution with any of the following disciplines and should have obtained a minimum of 60% marks till pre final year (VI Semester):

(a)Engineering Branch: (a) Mechanical (b) Marine (c) Aeronautical (d) Production (e) Metallurgy (f) Civil* (g) Naval architecture* (*Civil & Naval Architecture Cadre only).

Electrical Branch: (i) Electrical (ii) Electronics (iii) Tele-Communications (iv) Instrumentation and control (v) Electronics and Instrumentation (vi) Electronics and Communication (vii) Power Engineering (viii) Control System Engineering.

Physical Standards: (a) Height and Weight: Minimum height 157 cms. with correlated weight. (b) Eye Sight: 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind.

Selection Procedure
(a) IHQ-MoD (Navy)/Command Headquarters reserves the right to short applications and fix cut off percentage without assigning any reason. No Communication is entertained on this account. Eligible candidates is called for campus interview at their own cost at centres as notified by IHQ-MoD at centres as notified by IHQ-MoD Navy/Command Headquaters. The Screening is conducted by Naval Section Team.

(b) Candidates recommended by the Naval Section Teams are likely to be called for SSB interview at Bangalore/Bhopal.

(c) Total duration of SSB interview is 5 days, consisting Stage-I (Day one) and Stage-II (Four days). Stage I tests consist Intelligence test, Picture Perception and Group Discussion Tests, Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage-I will be routed back in the same day from SSB centre. Stage-II Tests consists Psychological Tests, Group Task Tests and Interview. Successful candidates, thereafter undergo Special Medical Examination at the same venue (approx. duration 3-5 days)

(d) Candidates recommended by the SSBs and declared medically fit, is appointed for training inorder of All India Merit depending on the number of vaccancies.

Training: Training is schedule to commence in August. Candidates finally selected for UES, is inducted as officers in the rank of Sub Lieutenant and undergo six month Naval Orientation course.

Allowances & Other Benefits as per rules by commission.
