Designated Trade Apprentice in the Indian Navy

The Indian Navy invites application from time to time for recruitment as an Designate Trade Apprentices, under Apprenticeship Act 1961:

(a) 1-year training for Electrician, Electronics, Mechanic, Fitter, Turner, Mechanist, Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance, Refrigeration & Air-coditioning Mechanic and Welder (Gas & Electric)

(b) 2-year training for Mechanic Diesel, Plumber, Sheet Metal Worker, Carpenter, Forger and Heat Treater (FHT), and Foundaryman (Moulder)

Eligibility: Candidates should have passed SSC (Matric) with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and atleast 65% marks in aggregate in ITI examination (NCVT). Age: 14-21 yrs. as on 15th April of the year of admission. The upper age limit is relaxable by two years by IHQ of MoD (Navy) at their discretion in respect of wards of Naval Civilian/Defence employees who merit special consideration.

Physically challenged (orthopedically/deaf/dumb): Physically challenged candidates, if selected are to be medically examined to further confirm that they can perform in their trade. Minimum Physical Standards: Height 150 cm, weight 45 kg., chest expansion minimum 5 cm, Eyes 6/6 to 6/9 (6/9 corrected with glasses), external or internal organs normal.

Stipend: Rs. 940/-, Rs. 1090/-, pm is paid according to the training duration as applicable.

Selection: Selection is made on the basis of written test and interview followed by Medical Examination.

Note: The recruitment is purely for the purpose of imparting training in terms of apprentices Act 1961 and there is absolutely no liability of the management to provide any job.

How to Apply: Candidates are to apply in accordance with application format published in the Employment News or other prominent daily along with the notification. application form may be typed/handwritten as per the prescribed format which is printed in the Employment News and some other national dailies.
