Apprentices (Civilian)

Naval Dockyard Apprentice School
Mumbai conducts a competitive examination for the recruitment of Apprentices (Civilian) under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 and rules framed thereunder.

Stipend: Rs. 500, 550 and 600 p.m. for first, second and third year respectively.

Eligibility: Age 14 to 19 years as on 1st October, relaxable by five years for SC/ST candidates.

Educational Qualifications: Matric or equivalent preferably with science.

Physical Standards: Minimum weight 45 kg. Minimum height 150 cms. and well developed chest with min. expansion of five cms.

Eye sight: 6/6 to 6/9 (6/9 corrected with glasses).

Procedure for Selection: Based on screening and medical examination, written examination and interview. Written test comprises of Paper I Mathematics, Paper II General Knowledge and General Science.
