Components of Integrated Nutrient Management
INM involves maintenance or adjustment of soil fertility and plant nutrient supply to an optimum level for the desired level of crop productivity. This is achieved through optimization of benefits derived from different sources of nutrient supply including chemical fertilizers, organic manures, crop residues, green manures and Biofertilizers, which are desired as components of INM. The components will be briefly described, with a major emphasis on Biofertilizers, which are relevant to a study of biotechnology.
