Unequal crossing over
Recombination that occurs between two homologues that are improperly aligned.
Exchange of DNA is unequal, such that one homologue winds up with three copies of a region of the chromosome, while the other homologue has only one.
A crossing over in which the two chromosomes do not exchange equal lengths of DNA; one receives more than the other.
Unique DNA
DNA sequences that exist in only one copy per haploid genome.
