Ancestral homology
Homology that evolved before the common ancestor of a set of species, and which is present in other species outside that set of species. Compare with derive homology.

A member of the group of primates made up of monkeys, apes, and humans.
Anencephaly
A condition in which the skull cap and brain do not develop
Aneuploidy
The condition where the chrosome number is not an exact multiple of the normal haploid number.
