(Engg.) and B.Arch. courses of the college is held generally in the month of May every year. 2. Branches: Chemical (30 seats); Civil (60 seats); Electrical (60 seats); Mechanical (90 seats); Electronics (30 seats), Computer (30 seats), Architecture (20 seats). 3. Duration: 4 year-B.Sc. (Engg.), 5 year-B.Arch. 4. Minimum Qualification: A pass in Senior Secondary School Certificate/Intermediate or an equivalent Exam with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with not less than 45 per cent marks in aggregate or Diploma in Engineering of this University with atleast Second Division. 5. Age Limit: Not more than 23 years on July 1st of the year of admission.
6. Application Procedure: Application Form ,and Guide to Admission can be obtained during March/April (on notification-in January) from the Assistant Controller (Admissions), Post Box No. 52 Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh on payment of requisite amount in cash or by post on sending a requisition with a demand draft drawn in favour of Finance Officer, AMU, Aligarh alongwith a self-addressed and stamped envelope of size 25 cm x 15 cm. Postage stamps should be fixed on the envelope.
7. Method of Selection: Selection is made on the basis of marks obtained in the Competitive Admission Test and Interview held for the purpose. The Test comprises two papers common for aspirants of both B.Sc. (Engg.) and B.Arch Course (Paper Chemistry and Physics, Paper II-Mathematics) each of 2 hours duration and the general standard of test is that of the qualifying examination. All the questions set for the admission test are of objective-type. Students appearing for B.Arch. course have to appear in one additional-Paper III which is the Architecture Aptitude Test having some descriptive questions and Test of drawing. 8. Medium of Examination: English only. 9. Examination Centre: Aligarh only. 10. Last Date: Last date for submission of application is generally in the month of April/May of the year of admission. (b) Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology also conducts B.E. (Evening Course) in addition to the above mentioned courses. Course: BE (Evening Course) Branches: Civil, Electrical, Mechanical (total 90 seats). Eligibility: Diploma in Engg. in the relevant branch of study. Those with Professional Experience on Govt./Semi -Govt. Registered Organisations after passing Diplomas are preferred. Selection: It is based on Written Competitive Admission Test and Interview/Aptitude Assessment-The test contains 25 per cent of topics on Physical Sciences and 75 per cent on the relevant Engg. Sciences. How to Apply: Same as for B.Sc. (Engg.) and B.Arch. Courses.
