The Technological Institute of Textiles

An Entrance examination is conducted every year generally in the month of June for admission to B.Text, course of the technological Institute of Textiles Bhiwani (Haryana).
2. Duration: 4 years
3. Seats: Textile Chemistry-10 seats; Textile Technology-60 seats; Computer Science-20 seats.
4. Duration: 4 years.
5. Reservation of Seats: SC 15 percent, ST 5 percent; Backward Classes 2 per cent. Over and above the normal in take, three additional seats are reserved for the eligible wards of TIT staff who have put in atleast 5 years service in the Institute. Eight additional seats, over and above the normal in take are placed at the disposal of the government of India for accomodating foreign students and the nominees of the State governments/Union territories lacking facilities of education in Textiles.

6. Minimum Qualification: A pass in the Pre-Engineering of the University with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or an exam recognised as equivalent thereto with atleast 50 per cent marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Maths or B.Sc. of MD University (or equivalent examination) securing at least 50 per cent marks in the aggregate-of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and having passed in English (optional or qualifying).

7. Application Procedure: A copy of the prospectus containing the admission form and the syllabus for the B.Tech. Entrance Examination can be had from the office of the Director, Technological Institute of Textiles, Bhiwani on cash payment of requisite charge at the counter.

8. Last Date: Last date for submission of completed application form is in the 1st week of April of the year of admission.

9. Method of Selection: Admission to all the 90 seats, including those reserved for SC, ST and BC categories, is made by merit through an Entrance Examination to be conducted by MD University at Rohtak in the 3rd week of June of the year of admission.
