Application Procedure: The admission brochure giving detailed information together with the application form can be obtained by sending a crossed Indian Postal Order of requisite amount drawn in favour of the Deputy Registrar (Accounts. REC). Hamirpur H.P. University, Shimla payable at the Hamirpur Head Post Office. The admission brochure can also be obtained from the College office in the 3rd/4th week of May against cash payment of requisite amount.

Method of Selection: Applications are invited from the candidate who have passed/appeared in the Qualifying Examination from the Schools/Colleges located in Himachal Pradesh for admission into the 1st year B.E./B.Sc. Engineering/B.Tech. Degree Courses in Engineering at any of the 17 Regional Engineering Colleges in the country.

The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from Schools/Colleges/Boards situated outside Himachal Pradesh shall not send their applications for admission to REC, Hamirpur. They will however send their applications for admission to the Regional Engineering Colleges situated in their respective regions.

10+2 Science standard {non-medical} of HP Board of School Education/Pre-Engg/B.Sc. Part I (old scheme) examination of HP Board or its equivalent. The candidate should have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Maths (50 per cent marks in aggregate PCM) and '/English as one of the elective subjects. The minimum qualification will also apply to candidates seeking admission against the SC/ST seats in Engineering programmes.

Duration: 4 years.
Reservation of Seats : SC- 26 seats; ST -13 seats; Government of India nominees-15 seats, Children of Ex-Servicemen-4 seats, Children of Defence Personnel-7 seats, Handicapped Candidates­3 seats.
Minimum Qualification: A pass in the Pre-University Examination of the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or an equivalent examination securing at least 60 per cent marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Candidates should also have studied English. Relaxation of 10 per cent in marks is allowed for SC/ST candidates.

Age Limit: No age limit is mentioned.
Application Procedure : Application forms can be had during February /March by sending a Demand Draft of requisite amount or on cash payment from the College.
Method of Selection: Admission is made on the basis of Pre-Engineering Entrance Test in case of candidates seeking admission against Rajasthan quota.
