The admissions are to be made in the first semester/first year in the University Departments & Government Institutions and Self- Financing Institutions (Privately managed) & affiliated to this University.
2. Eligibility: For 4 years BIT & for 3 years BCA : Pass in 12th class of 10+2 pattern or equivalent with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate with English and Mathematics or Computer Science/Computer Applications or three year diploma in a branch of engineering from a polytechnic duly approved by All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to recognised examining body.
Candidates appearing in a qualifying exam are also eligible to apply for Common Entrance Test (CET) but their admission will be subject to the production of proof of having acquired the minimum prescribed qualification at the time of counselling.

The admission of such candidates will be provisional subject to production of the proof before 16th August of the year of admission. Those placed in the compartment in the qualifying examing are not eligible for the same session.
3. Selection: Common Entrance Test is held for selection for all seats (except NRI/NRI sponsored seats in the self-financing institutions) during June. Comprehension of English and Mathematics of class XII level, computer awareness and reasoning and analytical ability are the subjects for Entrance Test.

4. Age: Candidate should be below 21 years of age on 1 August of the year of admission.
5. Reservation: For SC/ST candidates. There is a relaxation of 5 per cent marks in the minimum eligibility requirement as mentioned above. Widows or children of Defence personnel or the para military forces killed or disabled in action during hostilities are allowed 5 percent concession of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.
6. Seats allocation: (1) Centres of Learning & Education of the University 5 per cent seats are allocated for NRI/NRI sponsored/ industry sponsored/foreign students.
7. Free Seats: 50 per cent for Delhi region candidates, having passed the qualifying exam from any school/institution located in Delhi/New Delhi.

8. Payment seats: (a) 35% for Delhi region candidates (b) 10% for outside Delhi region candidates. 5% seats for NRI/NRI sponsored candidates.
9. Application form and prospectus can be had from the office of the Registrar on payment of requisite charges.
