Engineering College in States
1. Andhra Pradesh
One of the State Universities conducts Engg., Architecture, Agricultural & Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) for admission to B.E./B.Tech. (Agri./Engg./Dairy Technology/B.Arch.) in all Engg colleges including Private as well as Minority Institutions affiliated to the University of Andhra, Kakatiya, Nagarjuna, Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural, JNTU, Osmania, Sri Krishnadevaraya, Sri Venkateswara and Regional Engg. College for AP quota seats. The Entrance Test is held at Anantapur, Guntur, Hyderabad, Kakinada, Kumool, Nellore, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Warangal centres.

2. Eligibility: Inter Exam. (10 + 2) with Maths, Physics and Chemistry as optional or Vocational courses in Engg. & Tech. of Intermediate Education, AP or Dip exam: in Engg./Architecture of the State Board of Technical Education & Training or its equivalent. Those who have appeared in the qualifying exam are also eligible.
3. Age: Minimum 16 years on Dec. 31 of the year of admission. Candidates must be of Indian nationality. Admission is open to residents of the State of Andhra Pradesh.
4. Free Seats: All seats in Govt./University Colleges and 50% seats in the Private Colleges.
5. Payment Seats: 50% seats in Private Engg. Colleges which include NRI candidates also.
6. Reservation: For SC/ST/BC/Physically handicapped, Games & Sports, NCC, children of Ex-servicemen/Defence personnel. Anglo Indian Community, GOI-nominees, as per rules.
7. Selection: Selection is made according to the merit in EAIVICET. The test consists of multiple choice objective type questions in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.

8. Application Procedure: Application form can be had on payment of requisite charges. Filled in applications are to be sent to the Convener, EAMCET or the authorities notified. Separate applications should be sent for admission to various Engg. Colleges in the State. Those serving in State Departments, GOI nominees and Telugu domiciled abroad are exempted from appearing in the EAMCET.
