This adds a new dimension to the NIBM's ongoing focus on executivelevel Training, Research, Consultancy and Publications. The Programme is pitched to provide to the financial system, on a regular basis, a pool of talented young executives who would be thoroughly trained in Foundations, Analytical Skills and Perspectives in Banking and Finance so that they are fully prepared to shoulder managerial responsibilities in the banking and financial sector.
Curriculum covers the basic functional areas of finance and accounting, marketing, human resource management, strategic planning, management and control, and rural finance. The basic principles of economics, behavioral sciences, rural finance, information technology and quantitative methods are taught in the context of management.
Eligibility: Candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree, with at least 50 % marks or equivalent CGP A, of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
The Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. In case of the candidates being awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the equivalence certified by the university/institution from where they have obtained bachelor's degree.
In case the university/institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by NIBM by dividing obtained CGP A with the maximum possible CGP A and multiplying the resultant with 100. Candidates appearing for the final bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination can also apply.
Candidates are required to appear for the Common Addmission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs, held in November. Candidates short listed on the basis of CAT scores are called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview during April at Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and New Delhi.
