Students admitted to the programme are eligible for the award of MSc. Degree in Biotechnology.
Courses offered during programme include Microbiology, Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Plant Pathology, Immunobiology, Plant Biotechnology, Marine Biotechnology, Animal Biotechnology, r-DNA Technology, Immunotechnology, Bioprocess Technology, Bioinformatics and Pharmacokinetics.
Besides credit seminar(s), the students are expected to carry out dissertation in the last 2 semesters. In addition to the above, the students undergo a 6-week training programme during the summer vacation in any of the reputed National Laboratories/Universities/Industries in India.
