Conductimetric transducers. This device consists of two noble-metal electrodes, which are immersed in the solution and the conductance is measured. Some enzymatic reactions convert neutral substrates into charged products, causing a change in the conductance of the medium. Although these tranducers are not in widespread use, the technique is routinely used to measure salinity of marine environments.
