ProteinEngine and Transeq

These two programs are the tools available on EBI (European Bioinformatics Institute) home. page and are first used for translating DNA sequences into the language of proteins. The protein sequences thus obtained can be used then for further sequence similarity searches and for the study of three dimensional structures encoded by the query DNA sequence. Although tBLASTx also allows the use of a DNA query sequence for visualizing the corresponding protein segments encoded by it, tBLASTx does not use the entire amino acid sequence encoded by the querry sequence
