What is Graphic Designing?
Graphic designing is an art of combining text and graphics to communicate a message in an effective manner and to ease the reading process. It is a visual art based on the use of line, tone and colours by using two dimensional techniques.

Basically, Graphic designers develop overall layout and production design of print media like newspapers, magazines, brochures, posters, tickets', business cards, logos, promotional displays, packaging and marketing brochures for the products and book layouts (typesetting), websites, CD covers, DVD inter-activity elements, Internet banners, web interfaces, Power point presentations, corporate reports and designs for all kinds of publications.

They have to plan, analyze and create visual solutions to communicate the message effectively.
Designer's working parameters depend on the nature of job and company's requirements and preferences. Graphic designers first prepare sketches or layouts to illustrate the vision of design. Then they select colours, sound, artwork, photography, animation and other visual elements for this design. Sometimes, Graphic Designers also select the size and arrangement of the different elements on a page or a screen.After the preparation of designs, they present it to their clients or creative director of their company for approval.

Some experts feel that, in addition to design courses, a liberal arts education or a short term program in art history, writing, psychology, sociology, foreign languages, cultural studies, marketing or business are useful for designers to work effectively as their job requires to understand and communicate complex subjects to various clients and audiences.
