Thyrotropin Hormone Releasing Factor (THRF)
Guilemin et al. (1982) stated that the transfer of genes from the pancreas of human beings to microbes cause the production of THRF from the genetically modified microbes. THRF is used to regulate the thyroid gland of human beings.

Growth Hormone Releasing Factor (GRF)
Genetically engineered microorganisms also have, the capacity to produce GRF in culture. The GRF thus produced is used in the treatment of pituitary dwarfness.
